Entre un punto y otro siempre puede haber un espiral. Esto quiere decir que siempre puede haber más problemas pero también más tiempo para resolverlos.
Sostengo mi práctica reconociendo el suelo en el que camino: de la baldosa a la ciudad, busco amplificar y desorientar nuestra cotidianidad. Me mueve la idea de compromiso con el arte como un desvío para llegar a algún lugar. Una pregunta me guía: ¿algo puede cambiar el mundo?
Trabajo desde el dibujo como punto de partida para derivar en esculturas, performances, videos y publicaciones. Me interesa hacer con otrxs, las personas como parte del espacio. Las exposiciones como lecturas y al revés, los libros como espacios para habitar. Busco el punto de tensión de los materiales resistiendo la presión de las palabras. Las superficies que más me interesan son aquellas que evidencian la vulnerabilidad del material. Desarrollo mi trabajo como algo orgánico, un desplazamiento serpenteante, insistiendo en el ejercicio del hacer donde el motor es la duda.
Between one point and another, there can always be a spiral. This means that there can always be more problems, but also more time to solve them.
I sustain my practice by recognizing the ground I walk on: from the tile to the city, I seek to amplify and disorient our everyday life. I am moved by the idea of commitment to art as a detour to get somewhere. One question guides me: can anything change the world?
I work from drawing as a starting point to derive in sculptures, performances, videos, and publications. I am interested in working with others, in people as part of space. Exhibitions as readings and vice versa, books as spaces to inhabit. I seek the point of tension in materials resisting the pressure of words. The surfaces that interest me most are those that reveal the vulnerability of materials. I develop my work as something organic, a winding journey, insisting on the exercise of doing where doubt is the power source.
